Margarita Ball Dress Code
Because the Margarita Ball is a black tie event, formal dress attire is required. Dress code is strictly enforced at the Margarita Ball. The ball has a zero tolerance dress code policy so if you are not dressed appropriately you will not be admitted. For this reason, be sure you are well versed in the required dress code before attending.
A tuxedo for men is preferred but a dark suit and tie is also an option. No jeans, shorts, open collars, hats, sport coats, athletic shoes or sandals or you will not be admitted.
For women a ball gown is preferred but you may also wear knee length or below high end cocktail attire if you prefer. A ball gown is a formal floor length dress meant to be worn to a formal event or ball. Many have a fitted bodice and then flare out from the waist. Some have a very full skirt while others are less dramatic.

Margarita Ball 2022
This year the ball will be held on November 19th. It is a private, invite only party and you must be over 21 and have ID to be admitted. Invitations are only available from a DMS Director, Director Emeritus, Member, or one of the sponsors. The Dallas Margarita Society has been around since 1977 and started as a holiday party. Over the years it grew and transformed and the Dallas Margarita Ball is now the largest invite only black gala with over 12,000 guests in attendance each year. The Ball is an annual tradition that raises money for many children’s charities in the Dallas area. One way the Ball raises money is their well known silent auction. With over 800 items to bid on and some great items, there is something for everyone.
